4 Days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru lodge safari, is a safari that leads to full satisfactory, the lodges are within the park thus reducing the movement from one point to another. The lodges are well furnished and decorated in an appealing. All the facilities like the bars, rooms and many recreational facilities to ensure your safari is at top most. Lake Nakuru is known as a paradise for bird watching such as flamingos which form a pink blanket in the shores of the lake hence attracting more tourists.
All our Safaris starts with a pick by one of our driver or staff, you will be met in your hotel, residential house, guest house, apartment or from the Airport upon arrival. .
You will have a short Safari over view description as per the itinerary as you get to know each other in the Safari Van. There after depart to Masai Mara with the first stop at the Great Rift Valley view point. This is a perfect place to be in the early morning and evening. You will watch enthralling Rift valley with its vast vegetation and the sun rays kissing the far and wide stretching mountains in the surrounding.
The Great Rift Valley has been reckoned as a wonder of the world stretching from the Middle East passing through Africa and has a great and vast chunk in East African part and ends in Mozambique in the South. After about 15-20min of getting history you will proceed to Narok. You will have your hot lunch here and there after proceed to Masai Mara, on arrival you will be received by our Masai Mara Staffs and then assist you to check in the Camp, leave for the late afternoon game drive which starts upon your arrival. The lodge where you will be served with Africa food in the lodge.
Masai Mara (Masai Mara) is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of Africa s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania it forms Africa s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular eco-systems and possibly the world’s top safari big game viewing eco-system. I am sure you have heard the wildebeest migration is nothing short of amazing. It is one of the things you have to add to your bucket list. This will be the full day explore the Masai Mara, breakfast will be served early , then our cook will pack for you fresh picnic lunch since the whole day will be exploring the Masai Mara famous 7th wonders of the World. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary.
Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The Mara’s gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq km – an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight black Rhino. In the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north. After exploring the park return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
On this day you will start the day early in the morning at around 0600am with a cup of hot coffee or Kenyan Tea, then proceed for the early morning game drive which will offer you early morning hunt for the big cats, if lucky enough you will be able to capture the Lion Kills as most of the time they do make kills in the morning before the sunrise.
This early morning game drive offers you the serenity of Masai Mara as well as the beauty of the sunrise which reveals the back drop of the Masai Mara which means the dotted hills in Maa Language.
After exploring the park for about 3 hours head back to the Lodge for the main breakfast which will be served as from 0930-1030am. After the breakfast check out the Lodge and depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving Lake Nakuru hotel in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, water buck, reed buck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. After Experiencing and exploring this wonderful home of Flamingos return to the Lake Nakuru lodge Lake Nakuru hotel for dinner and overnight as you wait the following morning for early morning game drive.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
The day starts as early as 0600am with a cup of hot coffee, then proceed for the early morning game drive where you will be able to capture the early morning kill from the big cats. It’s also possible to capture the Leopard as they are commonly seen in early morning along the paths, also to be seen this morning gamed drive are the White and Black Rhinos which as seen grazing along the lake. We also have lion families in Lake Nakuru which are seen in most cases along the road as in the morning they converge where there is no morning dew. Also in the morning you will have a good view of the lake and flamingos as the feed on algae. After exploring the park in the morning hours you will go back to the Lodge for the main breakfast which will be served until 1030am. After the breakfast you will check out the lodge/hotel and proceed for the final game drive as you leave the park and then depart for Nairobi arriving approx. 1300 hrs. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for onward flight home. End of safari.
